Mena Country for Contracting proudly announces
the appointment of Eng. Walid Shawky Badr – General Manager and Co-Founder of Mena Country for Contracting –
as a member of the Construction Executive Board (EB)
under the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Egypt),
supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK)
and operating under the umbrella of DE International (Egypt), effective October 7, 2025.
This appointment comes in recognition of Eng. Walid Badr’s leadership and extensive expertise
in developing modern architectural façade solutions and industrial construction systems,
as well as his continuous contributions to enhancing quality standards in major construction projects
both in Egypt and abroad.
He is also acknowledged for his ongoing support in the advancement of Technical and Vocational Education and Training
( Construction Executive Board TVET)
within the construction sector, based on the German Dual Training Model.
The Construction Executive Board serves as a platform that brings together prominent industry leaders and experts
to collaborate on the development of training curricula and the alignment of vocational education outcomes
with the needs of the Egyptian labor market — thereby strengthening the capabilities of the national workforce
and enhancing the competitiveness of the construction sector locally and internationally.
This appointment marks a significant step toward reinforcing the integration between industry and vocational education,
and contributes to building a new generation of skilled professionals capable of leading
the future of Egypt’s construction sector in line with the highest international standards.
